Design, implement and support Linux and Solaris servers in various capacites.
Worked on an email migration project where users from an acquired telecom were migrated to TDS. I automated (scripted) the process of migrating users emails and forwarding future emails from their old account to a TDS email account.
Enhanced the means by which new servers are built to TDS. The process minimized operator intervention and automated software and firmware updates of the new servers. I accomplished this using various bash and Perl scripts and RedHat Kickstart capabilities and PXE boot.
Designed and implemented the office internal network and the co-location server which included the website and email.
Installed an email gateway to filter out spam, malware, phishing email, and dangerous content. This system integrates with the districts student and staff database. Currently I maintain the mail server and filtering system.
Installed a Reverse Proxy to consolidate hostname namespace. This required a reverse proxy which could map hostnames to various URLs.
Designed and implemented custom scripts which helped divert DDoS attacks on the Mail Server. Also created scrits which provided staff with a web interface to help staff determine possible attacks and spammers and fixed various aspects of the client web interface to email and bandwidth monitoring.
